Great post however , I was wanting to know if you could write a litte more on this subject? I’d be very thankful if you could elaborate a little bit further. Bless you!
As with the rest of the Slim d'Hermes collection, this watch has style to burn, an interesting and unusual movement, and an air of effortlessness in execution. It’s quite a nifty thing to have on the wrist, and in its accomplished take on the idiom of openworking, a gentle reminder that a considered evolution beats an overwrought revolution every time (at least, in watch design). All photos, Tiffany Wade.
In 1962, JackHeuer, the great-grandson of the founder of the eponymous company, imagined a watch with a rotating bezel and a dial with easily readable displays, following an error in reading the time during a car race that cost him first place on the finishing podium.
Kering, which earned revenues of over €7 billion in 2020, said that the sale " … is in line with Kering's strategy, giving priority to the Houses with the potential to become sizable assets within the group, and to which it can provide decisive support over time."
Timepieces on display were carefully hand-delivered from their permanent home at The Seiko Museum Ginza, a six-story time capsule showcasing archives from one of Japan's most important watch brands. Additional timepieces from the personal collection of Joseph Kirk, brand curator and director of marketing at Grand Seiko Corporation of America, complete the 25-item exhibit. This marks the first time many of the timepieces have been on loan.
This particular Datejust is the 126300, a 41mm Datejust released in 2017 with Rolex's current-generation caliber 3235. This means you get an ample 70 hours of power reserve, impressive resistance to magnetic fields, and Rolex's efficient Chronergy Escapement inside. So it doesn't just pack the expected good looks of a Rolex Datejust, but also the latest Rolex technology.
The movement we were working on was an ETA 6497, which was used in pocket watches in the late 1930s and '40s, and which now goes into larger wristwatches. This movement has 79 components, many of which are screws. Disassembling is mostly, but not all, about removing tiny screws with the correct-sized screwdriver. The screws are color coded, or at least in class they were.
But for the rest of us – me included – the Oris Aquis Caliber 400 is a legit competitor hidden in plain sight. It works as a one-watch collection for someone who wants a terrific timepiece and isn’t impressed by brand prestige – and it works as a tenth watch for someone who already has the big brands covered and wants to explore the indies. It's not cheap, but it is a steal. And you can have one on your wrist today.
Well, this got me thinking what other workouts are good for those of us who find ourselves on the road or have limited equipment options.
Please keep on dropping such quality storys as this is a rare thing to find these days. I am always searching online for posts that can help me. looking forward to another great website. Good luck to the author! all the best!

As strange as it may seem, some of your favorite references just hit differently after you've seen them quite a few times. That's why it's always a thrill to get genuinely wowed by a familiar watch, offering reassurance that there's still gold in them thar hills. In all honesty, seldom is that watch a Rolex for me, but when it is, there's a good reason as to why.
As a design exercise, this watch proves that a dive watch does not have to be a massive hunk of metal. The Club Sport does still adhere to the clean aesthetic that put NOMOS on the map. The neomatik caliber used is already incredibly slim, and somehow they’ve managed to design a case around the movement that’s spec’d to the same standards as all the beefy divers you’re used to at 300 meters.
Tonight should be an exciting one. There was a Rolex in Tar, a Casio in Everything Everywhere All At Once, a historically significant Porsche Design chrono in Top Gun Maverick, with more watches in Babylon, Avatar 2: The Way of Water and The Fableman's just to name a few. But none of those films are nominated in a watch-related category.
Take Hermes. Sure, it makes watches now, but it doesn't make just watches. It makes bags and scarves and very expensive horse saddles (not that I'm judging; that horse probably thinks my watches are very expensive), so you can bet that when it makes a watch, it's going to bring some of this inspiration – and a whole lot of equine knowledge – to whatever it makes.
A special thanks to Zodiac Watches for facilitating this interview and to Andy Mann for taking the time to chat with The Grey NATO. Enjoy the show! Just press play and thanks for listening – hit the show notes for more details and the required links.
Little touches like the graceful line created by the polished bevels on the lugs, and the way the bezel is actually set into the top of the case rather than just sitting on top of it, help tie things together as well; they're not grand gestures and so, perhaps a bit easy to miss but they do show that CFB put care and thought into how they moved from the basic engineering aspects of the movement, to producing the final result.
