Completely dressed in black ceramic, from the 34mm diameter case to the link bracelet, the watch features a few touches of rose gold: the screws that secure the octagonal bezel, the center of the crown, the raised hour markers and the Royal Oak hour, minute and second hands.

Clothing, including fatigues, accessories such as wide high-top boots or the famous pouch bag, and especially the colors such as khaki green, sandy beige or even navy blue became a hit on the catwalk before making their way into wardrobes and then onto wrists.

After Iron with its futuristic look and T-Rex which whisked us off back through time, Urwerk has just unveiled a novel variation of its UR-100 V under the name of "Blue Planet", to better enjoy the present moment in time.
Over the last few years, I have fallen hard for vintage Seiko. From divers to dress watches, I have become infatuated with many of the company's historic models. I visited Japan about a year ago, and I couldn't help but visit every watch store and jeweler I saw in hopes of finding a hidden Seiko gem. That trip helped solidify my appreciation for the brand, and as I write this, I'm wearing one of my favorite vintage Seiko watches.

The 5093 seems to have been produced in modest numbers from the '50s through the '70s. It measures 36mm and has no lugs. You can find it with any number of dial and bezel combos, in white or yellow gold or (more rare) platinum. I was able to spend some time with the yellow gold Disco Volante you see here that sold at Hindman Auctions just yesterday for $8,255.

The Must follows the aesthetic ethos of the first Tank watch that Louis Cartier designed in 1917. The original design was meant to evoke a military combat vehicle seen from overhead – rectilinear and efficient with two brancards creating a tread-like frame for the dial. At the time, the Tank was revolutionary in its repudiation of stereotypically gendered watches. The Tank wasn't for men or for women; it was for anyone who appreciated good design.
Thanks for the blog loaded with so many information. Stopping by your blog helped me to get what I was looking for.
Inside the case, Rolex equipped the watches with its caliber 3131. This automatic movement was still placed inside a Faraday cage but also featured a blue Parachrom hairspring. The pallet fork and escape wheel were made of amorphous and antimagnetic nickel-phosphorus.
All the time data are powered by a self-winding movement with a 48-hour power reserve. It drives the date at half past 4 and sectorial seconds at 9 o’clock, indicated by a double hand, a small one for the 0 to 30-second scale and a larger one graduated from 30 to 60 seconds.
Those watching the live feed were treated to no shortage of drama as initial bids jumped by CHF 1,000,000 before a technical issue between Phillips’ own base in Geneva and their Hong Kong office caused a considerable delay in play. Once connections were restored, so too was the remarkable pace of bidding for this very special world timer.
Want something more modern and elegant? We remain deeply impressed by the Timex Giorgio Galli S1, which is available in a few different versions, all 38mm, with an automatic movement, and a beautiful case and dial design that carries the name of Timex's long-standing design director. It's a modern take on a classic format and at $450 it's a lovely alternative to the more casual dive watches and chronographs in the list.
I think this is an informative post and it is very useful and knowledgeable. therefore, I would like to thank you for the efforts you have made in writing this article.
The 1970s were a funky time for watches, to put it mildly. The digital design you see here is a Bamford take on the Girard-Perregaux Casquette. Like the Heuer Monaco, above, it too features a forged carbon case. But here the display is a tubular LED.Estimate: CHF 10,000 to 20,000

Continuing to iterate within the Minerva-inspired 1858 line up, Montblanc has recently unveiled a new monopusher automatic chronograph that is available in both steel and a bronze limited edition. With warm new-vintage styling and an entirely enthusiast-spec complication, the 1858 Monopusher Chronograph is a nicely sized and sporty design that offers a cool complication at a less-than-common price point.
